Flambeau Storm Front- Who uses them?

Recommended Posts

So I found a really good deal on some of Flambeau's Storm Front full body mallard decoys and I bought 2 dozen. These are the newer ones that have the flocked heads. I checked them out at a retail store before buying them online and they looked pretty good to me, especially with the flocked heads. Anybody else use these and have you had good luck with the paint holding up? I know they aren't the best built decoy out there but for the price I had to pay ($143/dozen) I just couldn't help myself. I just plan to get slotted decoy bags and baby them and they should last. They look really good brand new.

I didn't buy the Field Mallards, but bought 2 dozen of the Storm Front Floaters. Hell of a deal and I also couldn't pass it up. I put weights on the night before I was going to use them and put them in a decoy bag. By the time I got to spot on the lake and started putting decoys out the paint was already coming off. Gander Mountain Let me return them and the guy I dealt with told me that some batches hold up really well and then sometimes they get a batch that doesn't. Maybe if you store them like you are planning you will be o.k. I hope you got some out of the good batch. Good luck Hunting.
