muskrat411
good morning here is a video of me hunting sandhill crane at Conni (sheefish) Lake about 5 miles inland from the Beufort Sea (Arctic Ocean)and 1 of me hunting crane by snowmobile at Shallow Bay (where the Mackenzie River joins the Beufort) I hope you guys enjoy it. I like to eat crain in the spring when they first come north. The meat tastes better in the fall they eat lots of mice on the coastal plains and don't taste as good,
brittman
Shooting crane wih a .270 rifle during nesting season? If the population is high enough to absorb this harvest, fine then I guess. Can we assume only First Nation Canadians are allowed to hunt like this? muskrat411
Only aboriginal hunters for now but that may change as bird numbers are growing rapidly. They may open a spring season for resident hunters soon. Consultations are going on now.I only eat crane in the spring they eat to much meat (mice & frog) in the summer.
