Lake Granby area fishing report 9-16-13

Recommended Posts

The rains came and flushed the some of the pea soup out of Shadow Mountain, the spillway and river below is fishing ok for browns with streamers and small crank baits. The rainbows in Grand lake, Shadow Mountain and Granby are getting tough to catch but will hit lures early and late in the day. Lake trout have been tough to catch for the past few weeks but there is still a few being caught trolling and jigging. The Kokanee at Wolford are still hitting well. Trolling or jigging orange and chartreuse spoons have been producing good numbers of fish. Fall fishing is right around the corner, the browns will start spawning any day now and the lakers are just a couple weeks away. This is a great time of year to catch some very nice fish from the bank.
