heyguy
I have a 6.5'X10' wheelhouse, and the floor is pretty chilly. I'm thinking about putting some sort of insulation on the underside. Anyone have luck with this? I'm thinking foam board is the most accessible product. Is it easy to get underneath and install? will it hold up? Any info would be much appreciated. Hawg
It holds up fine but be sure to do pink or blue and glue and secure it well, the white is poor. If you watch the side of the roads in the winter you can probably pick up enough blown out pieces that were not secured. Spray foam is your best bet though and not all that much more. heyguy
Can you get spray foam in small quantities for a little structure like this?
Hawg
You bet, if you know someone in the business they might ask you to bring to their shop or a jobsite to avoid extra cleanup. Thats not that small a job.
Dahitman44
I cut and glued the thick blue styrofoam -- works great.
heyguy
do you have any problem with the blue styrofoam freezing to the ice?
Redlineracer12
do you have any problem with the blue styrofoam freezing to the ice? I would assume he's glued it to the flooring between the frame bracing, so it actually never touches the ice. The frame is much taller than the thickness of your average foam insulation.
