wanderlust
I just picked up a yeti 6.5'x12' rear ramp HSOList.I've got an aluminum welder and i plan to finish this out with folding benches/beds, cabinets, tongue jack, coroplast & carpet/rubber floor1.I'm worthless when it comes to electrical and it came with a vented furnace and inverter, but no directions. i need to get this wired with batteries, battery gauge, lights, outlets, generator input, switches and such. Is there a previous post to help me? or someone around the cities to help? beer, welding, money, whatever?.2.I want to have a rubber floor to catch the sled slop. question is: should i put rubber on the bottom and roll out carpet for comfort when the floor is swept out. or carpet on the bottom and roll up the rubber when the sled is out? i'm sure both have been done; which works best in your opinion and why?3.there isn't any insulation in the floor. i could sandwich some foam under plywood, but it would have too be thin to keep it under the ramp, or have some sprayed in from the bottom. is everyone leaving the spray foam exposed or covering it? Hawg
I'm not an electrician but you'll get help there from someone, it's not real complicated. As for the floor I would recommend foam. It doesn't need to be covered when it's not exposed to sunlight. On the floor maybe consider bedliner type paint and get a roll of carpet or mats when comfort is important. If you're not making a camper/sleeper out of it the bedliner is a great floor.
two cups
I also have double doors in the back. I went with a vinyl floating floor that I got at a flooring store. Then when I get done drilling the holes I lay down some throw rugs so it is less slippery. I have done this for four years now and it works great. traveler
I just got done installing rubber flooring in mine. Looks good, should quiet it down nicely. A couple throw rugs should do the trick. I sure wouldn't put anything over carpet, or put carpet in at all, other than a couple rugs. Mine has sprayfoam on the underside, thats what I'd have done.
