Reel Recovery, a non profit organization that takes men with cancer on destination based fishing retreats has 6 participant slots open for the upcoming retreat to be held in Onalaska September 11-13.

The retreat costs nothing for the participant other than transportation to the destination and the Wisconsin fishing license/ trout stamp. Fishing gear, lodging, and meals is provided to the participant as well as a 1:1 fishing buddy.

They have someone as far away as Nebraska coming in for this retreat... other places are Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin..

Word from the top is that the 2013 Wisconsin Reel Recovery is at full capacity. I want to thank some of the HSO trout guys for sharing the word and offering to volunteer.

We now have two openings that poped up over the last couple days. One of the downsides of working with cancer is how unpredictable it is- but inspiring hearing these guy's stories.
