That's funny! I'm studying some lakes myself right now figure I may drive a little more further to get the bigger slabs over winter.Can't wait to buy a vexilar this year too!

LoL, I have been studying the maps, marking spots, looking at the old GPS Points from previous years. The annual fishing trip plans for the Jan 2014 for our group is at 5 pages. 2-1/2 pages have the potential lakes to hit, descriptions and what fish to target. I do this every year & when we're there, it's organized, wingin' it,...

My favorite Hot Spot is Mud Lake,.... They range typically 13" - 16". A few years back, my 3 buddies and I caught >120 in 1-1/2 hours,... Action was hot. No issues throwing them back for the next trip.
