Hawg
Anyone have a source for ceiling LED lights, preferably very shallow recessed style to fit in a 2x4 constructed ceiling? The only ones I can find are for decks and steps so they aren't very bright.
BryeGuy
The bay has them. I have been shopping for lights for my house. I decided to go with 12v 9w cool whites. I thought 12v would be good incase I let a friend use the house that doesnt have a generator.
Hawg
I found the one's on the Bay, all are from China. My questionis if anyone has used them and if the cooling fins create enough heat to cause problems being recessed in foam. I know I would have to cut out a small amountof foam around them but it may be a lot of heat.? 12-18 watts is my guess to get enough illumination to reach the floor. randerson
I personally would put a couple boxes in the ceiling and get those low profile led lights with the frosted lenses that way if you have problems down the road its a quick replacement of the fixture. I had one in my Lodge and they put out a decent amount of light I could only imagine what 2 would do. I bet they are only 2.5-3" in overall hight at most so you wouldn't lose much hight and you can always find theses style lights on sale at big box stores
