Dave
There's been some reference to WI ATV regs. Here's a few off their web site.WI allows riders under 12 (on 90cc or less)on public lands when accompanied by a parent. (Riding alongside within voice. I assume helmet radios would permit this also). On any roadway not seasonal maintained for motor vehicle traffic.(This looks like the same as MN....old logging roads, forest roads, etc.)On roadways which are designated as all-terrain vehicle routes. Left turns may be made from any part of the roadway which is safe given prevailing conditions.(All-terrain vehicle route means a highway or sidewalk designated for use by all-terrain vehicle operators by the government agency having jurisdiction.)When operating on a trail or route, the ATV can travel in the ditches. 10 feet from the roadway. Some snowmobile trails are also open to ATVs.Registraion decals (size of a boat reg decal)shall be permanently affixed to the ATV by the decals adhesive on both sides of the vehicle in a position forward of the operator that is clearly visible.(Note, it doesn't state how clearly visible to someone walking by. "Clearly visible" could mean on a fender contour but still visible if a person had to walk up next to look at it?)
