Bottomline Locators

I am thinking of buying a Bottomline 4300 series and wondering if anybody has any feedback on performance and other related things or better locator for around $350.00 any help would be appreciated

Spend your money on a Vexilar FL18 and get the high-speed transducer kit from the Motor Clinic and use this for locating fish, structure, etc.

The picture graphs are hype (in my opinion) and they don't show you anything but Icons that the computer chip in them draws on the screen. You can go over cabbage weeds and the graph will draw a school of fish--it looks pretty but it's not a school of fish!

The graphs are also very slow, so unless you are anchored what shows up on your screen is way behind you...

If budget isn't a real issue get an X15 Lowrance with the GPS...

Yeah...the only thing the graph has for a useable feature is a temp guage. You can buy them seperatly for around $40 in most cases.
