New Boat Owner - Old Boat - Rigging questions

It is not difficult to mount a small anchor holder near the front of the bow and use a fairlead to run the line back to a small windlass. It is handy if you want to lower and raise the anchor without climbing out on the bow deck all the time - a bit of a problem with a lot of wave action or chop. Best source is a marine boat supply outfit like Jamestown Dist. or West Marine.

I recently bought a used boat with a 3-year old engine and I am going through it as though no maintenance had been done, replacing lubricants, plugs, water pump assembly, fuel filters, oil filter. Anodes are a good thing to check with old engines as well.
