New to the Area!!!

My fiance and I are moving to Colorado next week between Denver and Boulder and was hoping for some helpful pointers from some fellow outdoorsman/outdoorswoman. We are both avid outdoors people who live for fishing/hunting/camping/hiking. I grew up north of the Twin Cities and Wisconsin and have been spoiled with the hunting and fishing opportunities in our backyards. Work has both of us relocating and will keep us busy but would like to find some time soon to get out and enjoy the "true" Colorado experience. I live for hunting and would like to know more about hunting deer, elk, pronghorn, coyote, duck, goose, pheasant, and anything else I can spend time chasing after. Fishing is a part of my life and would love to be able to hike and fish on the weekends. Find some "hidden gems" in the back country. Well sorry for rambling on but wanted to introduce myself and hopefully sometime we can meet up and wet a line somewhere. Thanks

Chad, I hope the move goes well! I made the move from the NE Suburbs of the Twin Cities in January and I have been loving it. I live a bit south of where you are moving to - I live in Colorado Springs. You will notice a lot less lakes than you are used to but it's nothing to panic about. Still plenty of fishing opportunities, especially up where you're moving to! The rivers out here are great and hold many nice trout. I am somewhat new to fly fishing but I can't wait to hit the streams/rivers hard this summer. I also have a kayak so I'm looking forward to taking it out on the reservoirs soon. I did quite a bit of ice fishing (not as common here as in MN/WI) but you'll still see people out the hardwater and there are some very knowledgeable out there as well. I will PM you with some good links to check out!
