Woodeyes Bar and Grill

WI Women Fish and the World Walleye Association are proud to present the 1st annual Women’s Walleye Weekend. This is a great opportunity for Women anglers and we have the top female pro’s in the country to help you improve your skills. The weekend’s activity will be held in Winneconne WI, home of the Wolf River and Lake Winneconne. This is a great family destination and with it being Mothers Day weekend, we have activities for the whole family while the Ladies get to fish.

Along with the great clinic topics and learning opportunities, we are offering a tournament. You will get to experience fishing a real tournament just like the pro’s do. Complete with a cash pay out, stage, and many prizes. We specifically chose this location due to the great fishing opportunities but also, because a huge boat is not necessary. All boats and all levels of experience are encouraged to sign up. This is a two person team tournament so grab a friend and sign up. This is an opportunity not only to learn from the pros, but to also experience the excitement of the whole tournament setting, surrounded by a group of friendly and supportive women. If you want to participate and you do not have a partner, we can help match you up with another angler. Sorry guys, no men in the boats.

To be matched up with a partner we have a grading system in place to help match people up. Everyone can enjoy the experience and some people may be more intense about it than others. Rate yourself and send an email and we will help you find a partner. Please include if you are have a boat or do not have a boat.

Class A – very experienced angler looking to fish very competitively with intensity.

Class B – Average angler really trying to fish this tournament seriously and hope to make a good showing.

Class C, has fishing and boating experience, wants to enter the tournament for the experience and wants to have a good time and catch some fish.

Besides the clinics and the tournament, the price also include a goodie bag and the dinner at the Fin and Feather. Your guests are welcome to attend the dinner for a fee of $20 per person. There will be a cash bar and vendor tables set up. You will also receive a membership into WI Women Fish and the World Walleye Association. Value of those items alone is worth more than the clinic fee. Once you are a member of WI Women Fish you will be able to join our members only facebook page which is a place to share information and get to know some of the other anglers in the club. Information is shared and often women find fishing partners who live in their area. Be sure to join the page once you are a member. https://www.facebook.com/groups/136149860461/

For those of you who are debating to just attend the clinic or to do the tournament, I want to encourage you to participate in the tournament. I did my first local tournament last year and it was a lot of fun. This will be a very friendly event and there will be a variety of abilities. People are willing to help you learn and our goal is to have everyone will walk away feeling like a winner.
