Has any one ever fished in michigan? i am spending a week there from june 10 -17th. i got the ok to spend a day fishing with a guide. I know st. clair is amazing but are there any in-land lakes in the northern part of michigan worth checking out? we are going through the UP first. or should i just plan on getting to st. clair for the day? i only want to go smallmouth fishing..

If you are after monster smallies (they will probably be bedding around then, with this late spring) you could check out Torch and Bellaire, Charlevoix, or Lake Michigan itself

St. Clair would be pretty hard to beat though
