I saw a hen Black Duck with a bunch of little ones near Homestead Village in SE Rochester yesterday. Has anyone else seen her?
This is the first time I have ever seen a Black Duck right in the city.

Yep, I'm sure. It was a Black Duck or possibly a tame/Mallard cross.

It looked like a very, very dark hen Mallard.

What color was the bill?

I think it was light green/yellow. I can't remember for sure. I only saw it for a few seconds as I drove past.

I just looked at the DU HSOforum and it looked just like the American Black Duck in the picture.
