wanna take my kids ice fishing this week during spring break and am wondering what is best method for teaching and explaining "the bite" to them. spring bobber? foam in water bobber? i have the bird graph and slowly started to show em what fish look like and where bait is on graph so they can kind of anicipate a bite but curious as to what others have done and how well it has worked. my 6 year old son has patience issues and is always jumping/moving around but would like tips on helping keep him & 4 year old daughter focused as much as possible....and i do understand when they r done time is up & time to leave.

Most young kids have patience problems even when there is a good bite!

You need to be the one with patience!

The foam bobber combined with the graph is a great way to teach young kids.

If they get to inpatient just hook a fish or two and hand the rod to them.

Bring plenty of snacks!!
