Well, this broke over the weekend, and I need some advice on what I can try to do to fix this. This is the roof to my eskimo qf6. The gromet came off of the fabric.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. And please don't tell me to go and buy a new one, because that's not in the cards for me now cool . Thanks. full-34423-30998-eskimo2.jpg

I had a similar problem on my hunting blind. Go to Harris warehouse or other surplus store and get a piece of canvas with a grommet in it and have it re-sewn to the old spot. You could also buy a grommet kit and press your own grommet into a piece of heavy material and then sew it over the existing spot. I had a shoe repair shop do mine, but harris warehouse in mpls could likely do it for you fairly cheap. Could probably go to somewhere like canvas craft too.

Good luck.

By saying the gourmet came out, you are saying the whole black assembly came out of the fabric and now has a big hole? Or did the bolt stripped from the nut? If the whole assembly came out I have no idea but to just call them (Eskimo wearhouse). If your screw stripped, I think a longer "eye bolt" screw, couple big washer, and a nut will do. Look for them at a hardware store. Hope this help you.

The gromet came off leaving a hole in the fabric,,,as seen in the pic.

The assembly is ok. The bolt isn't stripped.

I think what I sugguest is good. If you can picture this tho. Similar to its original bolt/washer setup.

A longer eye bolt, nut, large washer, hub fabric, small washer, black assembly, large or med washer, and then nut at end of bolt in this order. If its too confusing just picture the original assembly and change out: original bolt for a longer bolt; two original washer to large one in front, small washer behind fabric; and large or med washer behind black assembly, and then a nut or lock nut at end. I wish I have picture for reference.

I'm gonna try to keep things simple by trying tor reuse most of the same parts and just replace the gromet. I can't go any much more bigger because it will hit the poles when the hub is collapsed and folded.

I decided to call Eskimo today and they are going to send me a couple of replacement patches for the hub top eventhough my QF6 was out of warranty. Great customer service as always. No charge.
