Park Rapids Long Lake family fishing trip

Can anyone recommend some techniques or areas to start catching fish on Long Lake near Park Rapids in mid-July? Taking a number of families to this lake for the first time this summer and looking for any tips that you may have to offer. We have people with a variety of skills/interests so any suggestions are appreciated. Send PM if you wish.

the bass usually are willing to bite at that time of year around the stumps on the south side and by casting most weed lines they seem to be everywhere lots of them most mid size few larger

Walleyes can be tricky in this lake because the lake is so clear we have some luck every year fishing the rock piles in the mid section of the lake sometimes anchoring on them sometimes trolling around / over them the deep weed lines near around saddles or some of the points can work we use leeches and red tail chubs (if you can find them) or we sometimes net minnows from the lake and have also done very well doing that

from what ive found the walleyes are fewer and far between when compared to other lakes near by but the chance if you get into some it will be big I know and have caught many eyes to 31 inches here
