Plastic Strike Master Auger ?

I just bot a Electica with this plastic lazer bit and wonder if anyone has had problems with them ? And does that electric augers make a kind of a grinding winding noise ?

Ive never heard of the electra having a plastic bit, I'm guessing it has a strike lite bit on it. I have used my strike light bit on two different power heads and not had an issue but I know alot of people who have overloaded the flighting and broken it, or beat on the bottom with a hammer to de ice it and broken it as well.

My experience is with the Big Volt but yes there is a gear meshing type sound when you use it.

My Strikelite came with the plastic bit when I bought it. I had issues with slush/snow clogging the bottom and it would not cut at all. I returned the bit and Strikemaster replaced it with a metal one.
