DocJpa
I have a FL 20 that I use a lot. Lately when I turn it on it takes about 15 mins. to (warm up?) before I get a good reading. I have cleaned the transducer before using and still the same problem. Anyone have a similar problem? The unit is 3 years old. Any help appreciated! Lusid
I run into the SAME exact issue!A warm up before it can see the jig or the water depth... X_XThis is on a FL18.
DocJpa
I never had the issue when it was newer but now it takes forever to see my jig and get a good bottom reading . Do they wear out that quickly? I've had Vexilars for years and don't recall this problem.
LakeDocktor
Is your transducer below the bottom of the ice?
kaine
mine will do this when the battery gets below 50% I usually keep it fully charged and no problems. you guys may just need new batteries.
Finlander
Always have batteries that are new or near new and check the voltage with a meter to be sure they are at least 13.50 volts. The transducer could also need replacing if it had been abused from getting bumped or dropped too many times. Barrow any transducer from another Vex to see if you have the same issues. Most times, it's the transducer!Good Luck!
