zymguy
I'm trying to decide between the Frabill Thermal Outpost 2-3 Man Shelter and the Clam Base Camp Thermal. I think i prefer the clam, but Im intrigued by the "4 Clear view removable windows" on the frabill. Can you open clam windows?
McGurk
Not on the bigfoot xl4000 or xl2000. They are sewn in and not removeable. Unsure on the others but I doubt it.
ammoman16
I have the Base Camp Thermal. Windows are stitched in. One of the nice things about removable windows is that it means that they are also easily replaceable. Another problem with the windows on the Clams is that they are way too high for watching tip-ups. The Frabill houses look to have the same problem. You have to wonder if the people who design these even fish. If I was to replace my hub I'd look pretty seriously at the Eskimo's just because of the fact that they have removable, well-placed windows. Hardyboy
I have the Eskimo Fatfish 949i and love it. Windows are placed well and enough where you have no blind spots. The windows are low so if you sitting in a chair or on a bucket you can look straight out. All the windows are removable. You may want to look at it as an option. Lusid
I have an Eskimo as well. And since we are on the window talk, with removable Velcro windows you have unlimited options for venting to reduce condensation problems when running your heater inside.
