westb
I am looking at buying one and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with one. I will be useing it to open and reopen holes in my wheelhouse not drilling 100 holes a day. The reviews I have read all look good but I would like to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly from unbiased fisherpersons. Thanks.
Hawg
Don't do it, get an ION. 5 times more holes.
cableguy2
I have the strikemaster and have no complaints. As he said he will not be drilling a lot of holes so no need to get the ION for 5 times as many holes. When I am done drilling I will just plug it in to charge it back up. DandyKat
Just curious myself if anyone has used the ION and if they are as good as the promo shows. Seems as if this would be the ticket for wheelhouses. I have a Jiffy gas auger and would be nice not to mess with mixing gas, fumes, leaks, etc.. FWR
I have owned the Electra for two years now. I really like it for drilling new holes. I have tried to reopen holes a few times and it worked ok but it was not as easy and smooth as cutting a new hole. It would bind up at times while drilling even on a fresh battery. The bottom line is it will work to reopen but a chipper blade will work better. Hope this helps
luckydave
I just love my Strikemaster. I would stick with a proven performer and manufacturer that has outstanding customer service (if you would ever need it). These are solid, quality units and would do a wonderful job in your wheelhouse.
