Just fish with lx-9

Ok I didn't, but my cousin and his friend had them I just had the old dumpy lx-7 . They seemed pretty nice but my cousins would show like 850' deep a couple times within 4 hours of fishing. It might just been interference from having 3 flashers going but i don't think so, none of us actually needed to adjust are IR fishing in the same house on 20 degree cone.

We hooked the screen to the flat screen and it would turn on and off for like the first 10 seconds and then it was fine. I didn't like that when hooked up to big screen the screen on the lx-9 turns off but It would save battery power. The camera it self seemed better then my vs625sd the bait in the far hole seemed closer then what I remembered with mine and to me it seemed like it did better in low light but I'm just going of memory from last year since my camera puked out on me.

The target separation seem like 6" with watching the bait with the camera and checking in relation to the bottom of the lake and then checking it with the flasher. the gain was set way to high on 15 and my lx-7 was on 3 so we set the lx-9 on 3 and it wouldn't read his bait. He messed with his gain and got the separation much better but not as good as when we checked my lx-7 with the camera. We didn't look into the difference in separation much, it could have to do with each lure and bait but his lure did lay much more horizontal then my vertical jig and we were fishing right next to each other. I'm sure the sonar part of the flashers is identical so I don't know why mine seemed better.

Since my camera quit working I will probably get one but if it was still working I think I would wait for the lx-7 to 9 upgrade but with taking two week off at christmas to fish I really want a camera.
