Sand Burr
I've seen a few of you going to the x-lander for this year. Has anyone used both that can give a first hand account between the two?Any web sites with good prices on them?------------------"Hey Nice Rack"www.bucketrack.com[This message has been edited by Sand Burr (edited 07-18-2002).]

radke22
When it comes down to it you pay an extra $100 for the spring loaded doors(more to go wrong) while at the same time sacraficing portability and conveinence. I have the X-Lander and love the fact it folds up into a (comfortable) back back with padded straps but at the same time can be set up for a 6 and a half foot person in no time flat. Its also waterproof which is a plus.the weight factor should be included in a decision X-Lander says 15lbs feels like 5.
Guest
The main difference between the 2 is portablility. The Xlander folds up into a convenent backpack and holds gun and up to 4 doz silohettes. While the elimnator doesn't. The Xlander dosnt have spring action lids that the eliminator has. Otherwise...they are both invisable to waterfowl. The Xlander is an ingenious design and you can find me in my bean or corn fields in my Xlander, if ya can find me ------------------Get wet, get muddy, get birds! Sand Burr
I have had a chance to sit in an eliminator last year out in ND while I was hunting out of a borrowed $100 cheapy. I really liked the spring loaded doors. I liked it so much i took a cloth bungy and riged it on the cheapy to do the same. I'm not sure its worth $100 bucks. Maybe fial approach sells a kit to ad them? My question is, is the profile so low that if you are fumbling around inside while the birds are overhead would the doors/sides be moving? I am not a very big guy. The cheap one i used closed using a C style like this () if you farted it fell open. You had to use one hand to keep it closed instead of calling. Thanks for your replies------------------"Hey Nice Rack"www.bucketrack.com
