Otter Outdoors Stealth

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,
Already lookin' forward to next year and decided I needed a boat to do some hunting out here in Morris next fall. I don't have a lot of money so a real hunting rig is out of the question, but I have settled on what looks like a good one man boat, the Otter Outdoor's Stealth 1200. It's a one piece construction plastic boat that looks good from the information the company sent out to me, but I need your guys' opinion. Does anyone have one, or have used one that could tell me about it. I need something that will be small enough to be managable by myself, yet hopefully stable enough to handle some of the bigger duck lakes around here. I thought about a canoe, but seems like it would be hard to opperate by myself, and to tip it in late November would be disasterous.

So, if anyone could tell me about the Otter Outdoor's Stealth, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for your help.
Eric

Hey EW6

I go to school at the university in Morris and i have a stealth boat- last fall was the best duck huntin i've ever had. The boat is great! i drive a bronco 2 and i throw the thing on top of my roof. I made a set of wheels for it so i can pull it through grass and such to get back to those non-hunted sloughs. I have had two people in it with three bags of dekes and i can still stand on the side of it and not worry bout fallin in. I pushed it through mud, ice, bogs and pretty much anything else and i have never had a problem with the stability factor. It is very heavy duty and i am going to paint a cattail pattern on it this summer. it has plenty of room for storage with two watertight compartments and the shotgun holder is a nice feature. The only problem i have ever had is that it takes a little getting used to to paddle it in a straight line because of the two pontoons that make it so stable. Personally though i would give up a little speed and staightness for the stability. If you want to come take a look at it i have it stored here in morris, give me an email if ya have any more questions.. [email protected] hopes this helps!

EW6,

If your serious about the Stealth 1200 and want to save a buck eMail me at [email protected] Recently moved to Ohio and left 4 Duck boats back at parents near St. Cloud. used boat twice, factory oarlocks installed and trolling motor mount included. $500 to a real hunter who will use it to its potential. new to this sight so I don't know if this is OK or Not. If not sorry! Father would not mind getting it out of garage and Boat is Just a Bit small for Lake Erie.
