Has anybody purchased a app for there smart phone? If you did how does it work and is it worth it?

If you're talking about GPS and lake maps...The Navionics app works great, if you don't have a handheld GPS and don't want to spend the money to get one it is definitely worth it.

If you want a standard GPS app (no maps) GPS Status and Toolbox is a really good one, plus it's free.
