Motion x on the I phone is what I use.

Google and bing map overlay

Topo maps

Way points and tracking

You can also download maps if you know you won't have cell service and the GPS will still work.

If you're talking about GPS and lake maps...The Navionics app works great, if you don't have a handheld GPS and don't want to spend the money to get one it is definitely worth it.

If you want a standard GPS app (no maps) GPS Status and Toolbox is a really good one, plus it's free.
