Visiting in January

I have been away from Minnesota for almost 3 years now. The thing I miss most is Ice fishing. I mistakenly trusted somebody with all my gear because i planned to move back at some point. That was my mistake clearly. I dont know if I can ask this on this board or not but does anybody know somebody who might be interested in renting a fish house for a day so i can take my son out? I will be with some friends for a few days and they have plenty of gear that we can borrow but i wanted to just take my son out once. just thought I would ask, thanks

What part of Minnesota will you be visiting? How far are you willing to travel from your "home base".

I will be up near Hinkley and as far as travel that just depends on where the fish are I guess lol. We were planning to head up to LOW but that kinda fell thru.

If you are in Hinkley, I'd just rent a house out on Cross lake in Pine City. Close by and you will be able to catch nice crappies and Gills. Don't have anyone to refer you to, but I usually see some guys on Craig s L i s t that rent houses out there.

Yeah I have checked hsolist there just weren't a whole lot of options there. I thought I would give this a try and see if we can't find a spot to get on some perch, sons favorite fish lol.

I am coming from Oklahoma but I have ice fished a lot until the past 2 1/2 years of living here

check out camp jiggle stick on winnie, there are some jumbo perch in there
