Fish house TV- S link vs. RCA Jacks

I have standard def direct tv. I do not have component cable jacks(Grn-Blue-red)only RCA (Wht-yellow-red)and S Link video. Does anyone know for sure if the S Link will give a better picture than the RCA connectors. Once you get used to high def regular def just doesn't seem right. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

S-Video will give you a better picture, they are more expensive than RCA at least the last time I looked. Happy Thanksgiving!

They aren't real expensive, about $8-$9, but if there is no advantage it's still a waste. Two people at Best Buy said marginally better but they weren't sure either.

Unless you can tell the minor differences between the Luma and Chroma in your picture, there is no upside to either. Just use a component cable (Yellow, Red and White) you won't see the difference in SD vs the S-Video Cable.
