Help me out with a bow for my son for xmas

Gander has a Diamond Razor Edge package in today's flyer for $279. I'd call and see if they have it in LH. If they do, buy it, but ask and make sure you can bring your son in with it and adjust length as needed, weight, get some arrows and get the arrow flight tuned and away you go. But if you don't feel comfortable with their competence then go to a pro shop for all further work. Expect to pay them a bit of a premium when you show up with a bow bought elsewhere (they didn't make any profit on the bow or acc), but it will be worth it if they know their stuff.

If your son really gets into and stays in it he can upgrade later if he cares to. But even for an avid bow hunter this bow will do the trick for a long time to come. Good luck whatever you decide.

I picked up a Bear Encounter for my son. I can't wait to see his face in the morning. He was telling my brother in law he's saving hard to buy himself a new bow but just doesn't have enough money yet.
