Decals

I have acquired several decals for the brands of gear that I use and the different clubs and organizations that I am a member of.

Do any of you put decals on your sleds? If you do, do you put them right on the sled or do you use something smooth like a piece of aluminum or plexiglass or poly-carbonate?

I was thinking about either plexi or aluminum.

I ask this because in the summer I am the crew chief on my buddies race team and you put decals on the car based on the parts you use (contingency stickers). I'm not looking to get paid, just show off or show my support I guess you could say.
