Trout Regs?

Are there any public meetings this winter to address the Winter C&R regs and barbless rules and year round trout fishing in WW Beaver and Forestville? Is there any chance this stuff goes live come Jan 1st? Anyone got any news on these subjects?

Last I heard, the reg change were being put on hold due to one of these two things. 1) Wolf Hunt Regulations 2) Asian Carp debate

I had heard a month or two ago that there had been a few meetings that took place, none of which I was aware of until after the fact. Where a guy is supposed to find this information is beyond me.

My guess is that we'll be following the pink lines for another year. And if that is the case, I'll be writing a few strongly worded letters to express my extreme dissatisfaction.

Update: Just got off the phone with Steve Klotz and what he basically said is that the push for reg changes is indeed happening. Look for the reg changes to be out in the state registry around November 15th for public comment. They're not anticipating much in the form of argument on this one since it really has been out there for the public to comment on for about the last 3 years. That being said, the reg changes will NOT take place this winter, meaning one more season of pink lines for us poor winter trout guys.
