I know people who won't let family members hunt their land, including their kids, unless they agree to the property rules and APRs. I think that's perfectly fine. You work hard to own and manage your own land, you deserve to set the parameters. The same people grumbling at you this year will be thanking you for the big buck they shot two years from now.

I certainly agree with that. Rules can and should be set. But, that doesn't sound like a guy that hunts 240 and takes the first deer to walk by, while not letting his daughter hunt with him. To each their own. His land and he can do as he pleases, but that doesn't mean people cant think nasty thoughts about him.
