New wheel house

Hey guys I bought a new ice castle last Friday. I have never owned a wheel house before so this is a new experience for me. I am just seeing if somebody can help me out on the process of setting this thing up on the ice. I have a pretty good idea but do have some questions. My first question is if I can lower the house while it is still connected to my truck. Second when drilling the holes I do plan on getting a slush bucklet with sleeves. Do I lower the ice house on a 2" block then drill them out or can I just lay it down on the ice and be fine, any risk of the house freezing in if not blocked? Third and final, what size sleeves should I buy if I have it blocked 2" so the sleeve is flush with the top of the catch cover? I know it is a lot but any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

You should be able to lower it when hooked to your truck. I think all Ice Castles come this way now.

I think you are supposed to lower the tongue before the wheels, but an IC owner can answer that for you. Then I'd probably recommend lowering each wheel down about 1/2 way, and drill the holes. You can either kick the slush out of the way, or keep it there to help seal up the holes from the side (depending on ice thickness and snow).

You should be okay lowering the house directly on the ice if it won't sit in one spot for too long, or unattended. If you are going to leave it, then you probably want to block it up to be safe.

Ice Castle doesn't use the Catch Cover brand covers...they use a cheaper knock off. I just looked them up on Nilsons HSOforum, and they are 9" long. Depending on your frame size, you'll probably have to cut off a few inches to have them sit flush with the floor.
