CANOPY SAM
In an earlier thread, Pheasant Counts Out, I posted a question in regard to the pheasant density maps that came out a week or so ago.On this map I noticed a region in the Fergus Falls area that showed something like 40 birds per square mile. Evidently this is a very good density report. What I'm wondering is, do any of you out there do any pheasant hunting in this area, and are there adequate public or private land opportunities down that way to make it worth a weekend trip to the area? Thanks in advance for your input. Kdog10
I have had success south of FF. Dont go North of I94, there is a magical barrier of some sort that does not allow pheasants to pass through. I have only hunted public lands and with some work have done pretty well. My favorite late season spot is a certain public area about 15 miles from FF.
