Lots of info in the Winnie forum.

The best bite is along the weedlines in 9-14' of water. Mostly trolling spinners/minnows or crawlers or crankbaits. I did hear of a report over the weekend where a jig/minnow in the same depths was good. I like to use a bottom bouncer/spinner/crawler combo.

This pattern should continue into Sept.

Popular spots are the entire north shore, west of the THE GAP, which separates Big Cutfoot from Big Winnie. Also Tamarack Point (straight south of THE GAP)

and to the east towards the dam, on both sides of the river channel.

I grew up fishing that lake. Granted this was years ago, but we used to jig almost exclusively, and we slaughtered them.

Cutfoot would be a good spot. Its smaller, lots of good fish packed in there.
