spray foam pricing

Just curious if $875 to have a fish house spray foamed is average or if it seems a little high. This price breakdown is as follows ($200 for 2" of closed cell) ($525 for 1.5" in the walls) and ($150 for the celing). My fish house size is 6.5ft wide x 14 ft long, with a 4 ft v front. Height on walls is 6ft 4". I just want to make sure I am not getting took before I commit to it. I also have to do the clean up/shaving myself.

Most spray foam rigs are upwards of $50k plus. Many are $75k or more. Then put a 40k diesel truck in front of it and your pushing $100k rolling down the road. Its not a big deal when you bring the house to us but when we have to fire up and come to you. Burn diesel in our truck, and generator, equipment wear and tear and an employee on hand its not very profitable on a $600 dollar job. Thats why you probably think you are getting hosed on pricing.

There's a lot of lowballers in this business whos price reflects there work. The old saying you get what you pay for comes into play in this industry.

Not saying I felt like I was getting hosed, just wanted to make sure it was in line for pricing, it seemed high. As far as overhead in a business goes, it comes with the territory, the old saying you have to spend money to make money. When we can't do a job cost effectively we just say we can't do it and are honest with it,rather than give an outrageous number instead of making ourselves loook silly, not saying the number was outrageous. At the same time if it is a job you don't want to do, just be honest with teh customer and point them in the right direction. I don't have a problem paying for quality work, but why pay $5 for a can of campbell's chicken noodle soup at company x when company y has the same exact product.

I agree with you 100%. I wasn't trying to be negative or insult you in anyway. I have a job minimum that I imply into my business and if a job doesn't meet that I let the consumer know that rather than charging double of what the job should cost. Unless the house is brought to me on a job site.

I think there is a forum rule against posting that. Something about free advertising I think?

no offense taken, I went to a company that does very reputable work and I was willing to drive a ways to get it done if the price was reasonable, my brothers wifes brother even works at the place that is why I was willing to drive the distance if it made sense. I wasn't looking for a favor and never mentioned his name. Send me a message if you would like and maybe this will be good for both of us.
