Any reviews on the 4 blade spitfire prop

Looking for any reviews on the spitfire aluminum prop. Wondering if it would make a difference on a 97 merc 50hp. on a 16 foot deep V with side consel. on the prop selector, it only goes back to 2000. Did they change design between those years?

Not sure about your application. But, I just got a Nemesis (Quicksilver version of the Spitfire) in a 17" for my 90 Merc 4 stroke. It really made my motor come alive.

I was getting 5100rpm and just under 41mph with my stock 21" prop. Now getting 6000rpm and 41.5mph with the 17" 4 blade. It holds unbelievable in the corners and gets out of the hole extremely fast.

I also put a nemesis (Same prop as the spitfire) on my 115 4 stroke Mercury. I picked up 4mph and as jigged said, it is night and day cornering and for me, hole shot.

I replaced a 3 blade 13 x 17 with the 4 blade 13 x 17. 46.2mph 17'10" boat, 2 people 33 gallons of gas and equipment.

I'm sold. Out performed many stainless steel props at 1/3 the price. I don't know if the benefits will be quite as pronounced on smaller HP but may be.

What boat/size do you have it on. I have a 2011 1775 Lund Impact ss with Mercury 115 4 stroke, prop is a 3 blade 13x19 and run about your same speed.

I am running a 2011 Crestliner 1750 Raptor. I also forgot to add that the boat also has a 9.9 kicker on the back adding a little more weight.

I like the prop more for the better hole shot. (getting the bow down quicker) Since I very seldom run the motor wide open the speed was an added bonus. As I said before, cornering was also night and day difference.

jigged= are you still within the safe RPM for the motor?

I am not sure what RPM i am running at now. I need to figure that out. I think that the book says 5000 on mine.

I went through the manual and adjusted things to the manual specs. The high advancement was off 4 degrees. i adjusted the cable stop, idle advancement and the wide open throttle stop. The carb plates weren't opening all the way. The oil injection was a full turn under the alignment mark. Glad I didn't use it a lot for trolling. Runs much better now. My prop has some dings from the previous owner and thought if I could get better handling and cornering with a different prop it would be worth it as long as I didn't lose top end. I use this to pull the kids on a tube. 50 hp is barely enough for 2 of them. takes a bit to get up and going.
