FLYING HOOKS!!!

This morning i was out on my favorite lake skie fishing lugging my massive walleye jake through water when 2 hours into the day i had a real good hook up on a lower 40" i got up to the boat and just noticed i left my stupid net in the back of my truck(duh duh duh) well i played him out a little and hand landed her and just then i steped on my rod and she spit out the hook and with all the line tension the hook slamed and jam my right hand right through my top knuckles all the way deep too. i still had a ahold of the fish cradling her with a hook in my hand. WOW that is pain. i got back in within 30 seconds just slid her nose in the water and let her take of no picture just a bleeding hand. this would not of happend if i would have took more time getting the boat ready. the fish is fine my lure is without a middle hook and my hand achs. i am still going out tonite to play the wind. my hand is a lesson to myself to bring the net always.

always be careful when handling big fish and big lures and sharp hooks.PS LEAVE THE NET IN THE BOAT.

I agree with you but it almost seems to gaurantee a good day of fishing if you forget the net and/or the camera. Super glue works well on sealing cuts. It burns but saves a trip to the ER.
