Lifetime Licene

Hi-

I just bought a homemade fish house, and it has a Minnesota Lifetime License on it, how do I go about getting that license into my name?

Lifetime licenses don't apply to shelter tags. For some reason the buyer pinned his lifetime license to the house?

Or did you see a lifetime trailer license on the frame?

sorry for not being clear, it has an expired shelter tag on the door. But what i had the question about is the lifetime trailer license. Do i have to get that In my name some how?

Yes you need to register it in your name. Go to a Deputy Registrars (DMV) with a bill of sale and they can take care of it. It most likely doesn't have a title but if it is a titled trailer you would need the title.

They will ask if you have a bed in it, if you tell them you do then you have to register it as an RV. Costs more, plus you have to give them pictures, title etc. PITA...

Unless the shack is huge, tell them it is under 3000 lbs.

Save the headache and some green and say it is just a fishouse used for fishing

I do not have a bill of sale for it, i paid cash too so. And yes the fish house is under 3000 pounds! Can i just goto the DMV with the license number thats on the sticker?
