Jerkbaits

I need to make some additions to my arsenal, specifically jerkbaits. What would you seasoned pros recommend? I can probably spend $20-$30, so I can only get 2-3 lures. Appreciate the help.

That right there might run you about 50 bones, but well worth the investment.

The best jerk/glide bait I have come accross in a long time is called "Manta" and its made by River Run Tackle. It darts side to side as its worked accross the water. I have had very good luck with it so far this season.

I throw the Phantom Viper a ton. It's a side-to-side glide bait. A nice touch is it's taped for the JB weight system. You can add weight to make the lure run a little deeper. With out any weight, the lure runs on or just under the surface.

I'm not a pro but I like the Odyssey Pig, and the Muskie Mania Jake. Both work well.

I like Musky Mania's "Magic Maker" or the new Twin Fin from Musky Innovations , the magic Maker is a little more spendy then most jerk baits. I also agree with the guys on the Manta and the Reef Hawg, every tackle box should have one or more. Good luck
