Hitch rail mount identification needed

Recommended Posts

Picked up a new (used) truck a couple weeks ago and it had a 5th wheel mount on before I purchased it. It looks like the previous owner kept the hitch rails but left the mounts under the bed. Can anyone identify this type of mount and what type of rails I need to purchase to fit the mounts? There are 4 holes in the bed, each as shown in the first photo.

I assumed it was a standard mount so I picked up a used set of universal rails (one of them is pictured in the wide view photo) but then I realized something was out of the norm for this type of mount after I got home. I can return the used rails I just bought and want to look for the type that fits this mount.

Really like the truck by the way. 2005 silverado 2500hd with the duramax. 46,000 miles and spotless. Dealer in Rochester gave me a great deal.

Did you ask the dealer if they took the rails out?

They will sometimes take things like that out. Usually though they would try to cover up the holes to not show it had a 5th wheel though.

Looks like Pullrite Super Rail mounting brackets. That is probably why the bedliner is not cut out for rail to bed contact. The Super Rails do not need that and can go on over a bedliner. Not sure if they can be used with any other brand of hitch than a Pullrite.
