From what I've heard from numerous people he shut down about a year ago. Nice guy, built a solid frame, but you'll be able to find a much better frame at either Ice Assault or Berkon. His design was very heavy, complicated, and pulled worse than a hay wagon.

I talked with him last winter regarding my frame and he was still around at that point. It was somewhere around last December.

Mine pulls nice, 8X18 V-front at 4250lbs. I do however have an alignment issue and went through two brand new tires (tires actually didn't make it to LOTW before they were completely shredded) from Isanti to LOTW. (tandem axle)

To bad he's shut down though.... Next thought was Yetti, but I'll have to check out Berkon or Ice Assault first.

Was thinking Yetti until it seems you cannot get hydrolic or single-electric winch for raising/lowering. (I'm kinda sick of alternating from side-side to crank on my home-made behemoth that I want to retire and make a chicken coup out of.) smirk

Shredded one of my tires too coming home from Milacs this spring... Thats the main reason I want to convert the monster into a chicken coup now. This was home made and monster heavy, and it could have killed me and anybody I might have ran into had the tire failed at the wrong time. I consider myself lucky, but now I want a frame done professionally, and rated for the load.

The Ice Assault houses with the lightweight tube steel walls will end up pretty dang close to the Yetti. I calculated weights of aluminum vs steel for my next one, and the difference was like 75 pounds, and 3x's as much money!! I will save 4x's that weight by going to an aluminum roof instead of rubber.

Just out of curiosity, when you were comparing them did you use the same thicknesses for each or did you figure for a thinner material with the steel?
