CALVINIST
I bought one of the jointed believers last year, and really like the action. I also like the fact that you can use it in a top water presentation, ans also as a deeper running crankbait:that is versatile. However, I have noticed some chipping around where the jointed segments come together in the water, and want to fix this area so it doesnt get worse. Any ideas? Also, do the non-jointed models work as good as the jointed ones? I have never caught a fish on a believer, but I have heard that they are effective lures for catching muskies. Can anyone tell me if they have caught fish on "THE BELIEVER"? ------------------ <><<><Calvinist ><>><>[This message has been edited by CALVINIST (edited 07-26-2004).]
Muskie-searcher
I have caught quite a few nice fish on the jointed model. In fact I have never caught a small fish using one, all have been over 40 inches. I guess it might be an all or nothing bait.
690VS
Calvinist,I use believers for trolling all the time they are a great bait for muskies. I like to run them in the front eye most of the time and run them 8 or 10 feet down over 20 foot of water on the lake i fish also there's times when we'll run them in the back eye and troll them right in the prop wash and boy you had better hang on when a fish hits you there. As far as the chips i've never had one go bad so i'm not sure what to tell you. I've had a couple that i've been using for 20 years and never had a problem also i us both jointed and non-jointed believers and have caught fish on both.
