Long Legged Lake

Was there many years ago when it was under different ownership. Don't know who owns it now but it is a decent lake to fish. We went a little earlier in the year and fished off the islands for trout but did not have that great of luck, did get some jigging. Had really good walleye fishing. Didn't try for anything else, only were there 3 days.

I have been up there 5 times but haven't been able to make it last several years due to job change. I assume you are staying w/ jerry at the north lake lodge since you are referencing long leggeded but you could be staying with jody at Stork lake ( formerly known as south lake lodge when jerry and jody were partners). Either way I am much more familier with long legged itself compared to the other lakes in the chain although I have fished them all. Long legged is a phenominal fishery for muskie, walleye and lake trout. I believe world record tiger muskie came out of the lake and there are many 55+ to be had. My brother and myself have each brought in a 50 in but have had too many monster fish follow to count. Walleye are farely easy to come by on the reefs on jig and Minnow. Not unusual to have 100 + days. My biggest has been 28 but there are some 30+ in the lake. Avg is 17-24 in. I haven't spent much time trout fishing but did get into them a couple times. Never got a guide for them but guides usually would come back with limits. We usually went up end of July or middle of august. Have been to about 10 different lakes in Canada, some fly one, and this lake has been my favorite. The trip was geared towards muskie but over the years my boat spent more and more time walleye fishing as I get burnt out on burning baits for muskie 10 hrs a day for a.week straight. I believe I have an old map I might be able to scan in and send too you. Good luck and have fun.
