Heading to Cass next weekend, the 17th. Looks like a new moon on that day. Any tips? time? baits? Thanks for any help.

I was up last weekend (over the 4th) and it was a tough go of it. We fished the east side of star island about half way up that side . We didn't see or hook any but when I'm up for the muskie inc.tournament it's a great side to fish. then we went up to Allen's bay still nothing but the cabbage beds there are enormous and have produced some big girls in the past.I try not to fish memories but its hard when things aren't going like I think. We went over to potatoe islands and I got a 30"+ - and a few snakes all on big minnow baits (Jakes,Grandmas and the like) we even went to pike bay and nothing there either.I'm sure the fishing will be the best ever and I can tell you should be happy you weren't there last week.Metro
