lake wissota in wisconsin

Ok so i pre fishet lake wissota for 2a days cought one 12 inch smally i fishet the yellow the chippewa little wissota and every were in between, i threw every thing black blue,black neon,pumpkin,watermelon, jigs,crankbaits,top water, i have never been so lost, is there any one out there that knows that lake, that can give me some sort of idea were to start would be awesome, thanks

Last tournament I fished out there was won in Little Wissota off docks and I took 4th place fishing way up in the river.

I hate, HATE Lake Wissota...however the few times I have fished it, I have cashed decent checks and it has always been a long 8 hour day of burning the bank. I just rotate between exposed tubes and flukes and hit every dock from every angle and then go up the Chipp and fish every little rock point or rock flat you can find.

Since its a drainage and the water gets warm early, those fish are probably done spawning which is probably making it even tougher out there for a little while.

If it were me, I would just pay my entry fee and then drive up to Long Lake and at least have fun with some mega-smallies

Yea long lake sounds like a much better idea i love that lake, yea i will just have to beat the shore and docks, thanks guys
