Forgive me as I lived in the Appalachians in VA for a number of years growing up and did not pay attention to the regs here in MN while I lived there.

When was the first time a regulation was put in place to prevent the use of sunfish as bait in MN?

Or was it always illegal to use sunfish/perch/gamefish as bait?

I remember as a youngster going to the pier at Lac Lavon and watching an older guy huckin a sunfish out to the middle of the lake with a big bobber, not sure if that was legal or not, but that must have been 1986 or so.
