Rebuild or new electic tilt motor?

I have a 2002 9.9 Mercury 4 stroke kicker that has the power tilt, and the electic motor seems to have went out on it, and wonder if anyone knows of a place that rebuilds them, or sells new ones. I am pretty sure it was a factory option on that motor, but not 100% as I bought the boat rigged that way as it was a 2003 Lund Catalog photo boat. Any help would be great in trying to get this resolved. I was told by one place that I needed an entire new tilt assembly, and it was going to run close to $1,000, needless to say, I haven't had it fixed yet.

There is a repair shop in West Fargo, ND called Universal Repair. Darvis and his guys are able to fix most anything, or can at least maybe point you in the right direction. His number is in the Fargo, ND phone book or on google etc. He gets in around 10am and id there till 6-7pm.

I've had good luck with Auto Electric Service Co in Bloomington. They do all kinds electric motor work.
