K9Art Posted May 15, 2012 Share Posted May 15, 2012 i got the recipe from the readers digest and its pretty good..4-hamburger bun tops1 lb hamburger1 small red onion, 1/2 diced, 1/2 thinly sliced1/2 cup sliced dill pickles, diced1/2 cup ketchup1 tbs yellow mustard8 cups thinly sliced romaine lettuce1 cup shredded cheddar cheese2 plum tomatoes, choppedpreheat oven to 425 degrees, slice bun tops into 1/4 inch strips. bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly toasted to make croutons, allow to cool.brown the hamburger. in a large bowl comine the diced onion, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Add the beef and mix well.to serve arrange the lettuce, spoon beef mixture over the lettuce, top with cheese, tomatoes, and sliced onion. serve with the hamburger bun croutons.I used bread a butter pickles for a different flavor.
