jclymer
As I am headed north to go musky fishing on Hwy. 10 I will cross over backwaters of the Mississippi river in Little Falls. How is the fishing in these backwaters for ski's? How are these backwaters on your boat? I am talking the area I beleive is above the dam and right off from Hwy 10. shamalex72
A couple of years ago that channel was dredged so it is pretty easy to make through. I have never caught a muskie in there, but I have caught them under the bridge. Right where the channel starts looks like it would be a good spot too. From the bridge, the mouth of the Little Elk River is just half mile north, and that is another spot I like to try. The best way up to the bridge is to hug the east shoreline once you get by Larson Motor Service(there is a big sandbar in the middle of the river). You should be all right with your boat untill you get past Little Elk, then it gets tricky. Good Luck if decide to give it a try.
